If you know me, you know I am obsessed with quotes.
The other day one of our team members, Lauren, literally said “you know when we first met (3 years ago) you told me you were obsessed with quotes. You really are.”
I have a google doc of hundreds of my favorite quotes and mantras. I made a book out of them once and gave it to loved ones as a Christmas gift. I save quotes from friends and family, and quotes I come across on Instagram or in books.
One of my favorite quotes lately is “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – Martha Goedert
This quote feels relevant for me because I do a lot alone. I am a solo founder and a self-proclaimed “strong, independent woman.”
I realize more and more though, that yes, I can go farther with others. I will learn more when I listen more. Liberate can grow faster with a bigger team. And, I will experience more joy when I connect with community.
We go farther together, we feel more joy together, and our communities act as mirrors to show us our own potential.
Think of yourself as a rushing river. A river without banks is a flood zone. A river with banks is supported, purposeful, and on a clear path.
My question for you today: who are the banks to your river?
Who helps you go far?
My challenge is: go let them know 🙂
More Support:
1. We all need banks to our river
2. A new activity to do with friends
3. Meditation to connect with community
With love and light,
Liv
