Rethink your purpose on earth

Raise your hand if taking a vacation is hard for you!!!

(Both of my hands are as high up as they can go)

I read an interesting book lately that talked about how society values have impacted our perception of our worth in this life.

Many of us feel like our worth is determined by our professional success, and “performance” in life.

This book challenged that. It reminded me that our worth is in the fact that we are literal miracles on earth. We are walking, talking, breathing, emotive, magical human beings with the opportunity to grow and form relationships and experience all of the beauty the world has to offer.

So why then, do we limit our ability to take in the world?

Why haven’t I gone 24 hours without working in 2 years?

The goal isn’t to be hard on ourselves here. Instead, it’s to explore a reframe of vacation. To understand that we work hard so that we can explore the world, we deserve to take time off, to recharge, to fuel our soul and our creativity and our sense of adventure.

I went to Mexico for the weekend. Did I work on the plane? Yes. Ultimately, you have to do what’s right for you and your job or business. That said, I didn’t open my computer once on Saturday. It was impossibly hard. Because work is my reflex. My worth is in my inbox efficiency.

I’m working on it. I’m growing, challenging myself, and reminding myself my worth in life was given to me at birth, the same as yours.

I came back from the trip feeling energized and excited to work long days, happy I had done something fun and special for myself.

So go book a vacation, staycation, adventure, or simply shut the computer by 5:00 pm tomorrow. You are WORTH it.

With love and light,  Liv

We always talk about how time is our most precious resource, so why not free up some of our time by literally unsubscribing from the things that no longer serve us?

A letter to my younger self

I appear to have much more compassion for my younger self than I do for my present self. So, I would like to challenge you to write a letter to your younger self, too.
